touch the flame

Hello Shelfers- just a couple of tidbits today.
Just wanted to say that I haven't watched a whole night of Television all on one network or the whole primetime schedule in - since I don't know when. Until this past Tuesday night. I am already a fan of NCIS and The Amazing Race, of which regular Shelfers are well aware. However Iwatched the new series sandwiched inbetween- The Unit. The series focuses on a US Special Forces unit and the missions they are sent out to accomplish, and the affects on their families. It was not only well written and cast, but very well done in pacing, action, and character. I think I may have discovered a new favorite show. Sure there were some obligatory action hero lines- but Dennis Hastart can pull them off well. It's nice to see a show nowadays where the heroes aren't afraid to do kick some tail and save the day. They know what they are doing and do it well. Kudos to CBS for a excellent block of programming. Check it out next week.

Also - don't neglect to vote for the Bitsys DVD of the year over at Digital Bits. Voting was extended to the end of today. King Kong and The Incredibles seem to be neck in neck

Lastly, this has to be one of the coolest things I've seen at You Tube. Check it out. It combines two of my favorite things from the 80's: U2 and Back to the Future. Give it some love.
